KetoTest is a color-changing test strip that indicates the presence of ketones in the milk of dairy cows. Test provides dairy producers with an easy-to-use and cost-effective alternative for ketosis-screening. A simple, quick, non-invasive test that requires no special equipment or training and can be easily performed in the parlor when cows are handled for milking. A milk-dip test that uses colour-graded dipsticks to measure the levels of ketones in milk. Keto-Test is a quick, easy and cost-effective cow-side test to allow proactive monitoring of ketosis in the herd. It only takes a minute and a few drops of milk to see if hidden ketosis is present.

Dosage & Administration

Monitor cows every 2-3 weeks.
Select cows 2 to 21 days post calving. Cows selected only require one test.
A minimum of 12 cows should be tested. To achieve this sample size, smaller herds may require multiple tests over time.
Interpretation of Keto-Test results

If more than 25% of cows have positive results (≥100 μmol/l),the herd veterinarian and nutritionist should be consulted.
